Teaching Sessions with Ellie Harold

What
A bi-weekly group session led by Ellie Harold on alternating Wednesday evenings from 7:15 until 9:30 p.m., with optional music/stretching from 6:45-7:15 p.m. The sessions will be held in a series of twelve sessions. Series One begins March 26 and ends in mid-August. Group size is limited to no more than 12 participants.

Aim
The Teaching Sessions provide a framework for spiritual growth by increasing awareness of the contexts in which we live our lives. The premise of the work is that with increased awareness we can make choices that are more clearly aligned with Life and the fulfillment of our deepest desires.

Format
The format will vary from session to session. Ellie will choose themes to work with that relate to Life as a path of evolving realization. Each session will include one or more of the following elements.

· Theme-based teaching
· Individual and group discussion and process
· Recommended reading
· Reflection exercises
· Experiential activities

Content
There is no set curriculum for the Teaching Sessions. The subject matter for each Teaching Session will unfold from themes generated by Ellie and from the process of individuals within the group. Each theme will be treated as an inquiry that allows it to be explored at depth. When a new theme suggests itself, we'll move on. You may be asked to do a certain amount of supplementary reading to prepare yourself for the exploration, as well as some reflective writing.

Intensity
The themes we deal with in the Teaching Sessions refer in some way to what might be labeled "Ultimate Meaning." To engage these themes in anything but the most superficial way requires a willingness to move beyond the comfort of easy answers to explore new possibilities for Being. Compared to other work you may have experienced with Ellie, the Teaching Session may be somewhat more intense than The Cognitive Course Modules, and somewhat less challenging than the Mentor Program. One way to conceive of it might be as an expansion of the Consecrated Dialogue portion of a Spiritual Practice Session.

· Done individual work with Ellie
· Participated in Spiritual Practice Sessions

The Teaching Session would also be valuable to anyone who sincerely longs to experience a fundamental sense of love, well-being, power, mystery, meaning, truth and beauty-all in service to Something More-in their life. Persons dealing with life-threatening conditions will find the Teaching Sessions particularly relevant. Anyone who has not worked with Ellie previously, is invited to speak with her individually to see if the Teaching Sessions would be appropriate.

Financial Commitment
The Teaching Sessions require a level of commitment commensurate with the depth of the material to be explored. The tuition fee for Series One is $300. Registration for the series requires a nonrefundable deposit of $75. At the time of the first session you will be asked to pay the balance ($225) or a payment plan contract for the remainder. All payments must be completed before July 15. The Teaching Sessions are not offered on a per session basis.

You must agree to pay the entire tuition amount regardless of whether or not you complete the series. If you are not willing to meet this requirement, the Teaching Sessions are not for you!

Attendance Commitment
To get the most value from the Teaching Sessions we ask that you make every effort to be present for each session. Some of the material we deal with may stir up resistance in you, and it's an important part of what we'll do to work with avoidance strategies. If you know you're going to miss a session, please let the group know in advance. If something unexpected occurs, please notify Ellie.
