"The Miracle of Sister Mary Clare"
Miracles abound in the state of Grace! In this talk, Ellie Harold shares the
story of a dark night of the soul when public attention to clergy sexual abuse
of children caused her to revisit an event in her own life that occurred forty
years ago. Then, when no resolution seems possible, she meets up with a woman
who makes all the difference to her healing. A moving and inspirational message
of hope for any audience that is concerned with healing childhood wounds and
understanding how church can help the process.
"Where Two Or More Are Gathered"
Confused about the role of church in your life in the past, present or future?
You're not alone! Summarizing some of the main points in her book, Ellie Harold
focuses on the evolutionary stages of church, showing your audience the kinds
of needs each level is designed to meet. Distinctions are made between fear-based
and faith-based religious communities. Listeners are empowered to heal old hurts
from spiritual wounds of their past and to become actively faith-full in their
current church life.
"Listening to the Silenced Ones"
What does it take to heal the betrayal of innocence? Honesty, openness and the
willingness to bear a sometimes painful reality can open the way to deep healing
of many sacred wounds. Ellie Harold discusses how a victim's shame can be transformed
into a survivor's empowerment using techniques for emotional release and timely
forgiveness. Excellent for those working with sexual, spiritual and other abuse
issues, either as victims or support persons.
