The Curriculum For Transformation
The New Church approach centers around a Curriculum for Transformation (CFT). This teaching system invites individuals to gradually deepen their commitment to the transformative process, according to their need and readiness. The Curriculum for Transformation is a journey to awakening in four phases:
DISCOVERY PHASE: SPIRITUAL PRACTICE
SESSIONS
Spiritual Practice Sessions provide an experiential entry point to the CFT.
Combining movement, interaction, meditation, spiritual teaching and personal
sharing, this activity is facilitated by a New Church Minister to holistically
integrate the changes one may be experiencing in life. Participants are encouraged
to subscribe to a series of sessions as part of a deepening commitment to transformation.
INVESTIGATIVE
PHASE: THE COGNITIVE COURSE
The Cognitive Course is an empowering series of forty-nine lessons in seven
modules which explore the principles of the psychology of transformation. Ideal
for the "solo" seeker as well as the person who attends a Transitional
Church. The course stands alone or as an accompaniment to the experiential work
that follows in the other parts of this Curriculum.
ENGAGEMENT
PHASE: THE MENTOR PROGRAM
The Mentor Program is a growth program held in ten weekend workshops over a
two-year period. It is offered to those who are moving beyond Discovery and
Investigation to become more available for a larger Life to live through them.
The Mentor Program offers a context to engage spiritual teaching through intense
self-inquiry, spiritual practice and committed relationship. It creates openings
for radical transformation and creative expression.
SERVICE
PHASE: SPIRITUAL LEADERSHIP TRAINING
Available to graduates of the Mentor Program, the two-year Spiritual Leadership
Training provides a structure for developing the consciousness and skills for
New Church Ministry. Successful completion of this program makes one eligible
to apply for licensing and ordination as a New Church Minister.
